wax manufacturers since 1930
The old chemist shop was the laboratory as well as the production site for the first jars of “Antikwachs” - a formula developed for precious antiques and lacquers. The concours carnauba waxes for automobiles were orginally only produced for the private use of Hans Anwander, grandfather and founder of the company.

The Anwander’s family passion for colours, lacquers and waxes stretches over three generations. The original formulas have been refined and modified over the years. The Swiss factory today is dedicated to continously improving the product range and developing new formulations in response to customer needs, environmental concerns and technological changes.
Hand made in Switzerland
Each Swissvax container is still blended and poured by hand. The rare, natural ingredients used in Swissvax do not allow an industrial production. There are no compromises when it comes to our pursuit of the ultimate wax and car care system. We invite you to try Swissvax for yourself and see why our products are famous amongst car enthusiasts all over the world.
the difference
Unlike ordinary "polishes" Swissvax waxes do not contain abrasives. Swissvax waxes are available for every type of car paint finish. They are equally effective on old lacquers and on modern water-based paints. The system consists of two components: A cleaning pre-wax oil and wax. Swissvax is very easy to apply and will not leave any white residue or build up along seams or in crevices.
Carnauba is the world’s purest, hardest, and most transparent natural wax. It is harvested from the top of the leaves of the "Copernica prunifera", a fan palm native to northern Brazil. The highest and most expensive quality is classified as rare Grade One Carnauba, the quality used in our Swissvax waxes. The level of shine increases with the percentage of carnauba used in a wax formula.
Whilst a number of car care products on the market contain carnauba wax, more often than not it is in a liquid form and typically only represents about 5% by volume. Swissvax waxes by contrast, are formed into ‘cires pasteuses’ (pastes), which allows for a much higher carnauba content of 30% to over 60% by volume.

Unlike an ordinary «polish», that simply polishes a paint surface shiny and allowing lower layers of paint to get dry and " starved", Swissvax restores the valuable oils of the original paint finish. Essential oils, such as passion fruit, avocado or almond are used as the carriers for the wax, give these products their wonderful aromas and create an incredible swirl-free gloss. In fact, it is this exclusive formula which creates a glow that goes beyond normal perceptions of "shiny".

With the Swiss reputation for quality and precision, you can be assured of the authenticity of the product. For over three generations, we from Swissvax are true car enthusiasts and collectors. Our products have neither to meet sales targets nor have to be produced within a budget, which is what makes them what they are today - the perfectionist’s tool for the perfect finish.
